For all partnered classes, we will require Gentlemen Assistants. Any qualified leader who volunteers to attend all partnered classes will get into the event for free!

This is a pretty sweet deal, as leaders attending this event universally report having learned as much or more during these workshops as "regular" workshops! Furthermore, Southern Belle Swing Bash has developed a reputation of providing great lead/follow class ratios, allowing followers to really focus on getting the most out of the material.

Leaders, if you're planning on attending, YOU MUST REGISTER. If you are a leader planning on attending classes, we will ask you to provide, on your registration form, (1) the name of an instructor or experienced follower who can vouch for your experience level, and (2) the email address of that person.

We are looking for at least intermediate-advanced Lindy Hop leaders with both social and performance dance experience. You must be able to cleanly execute Lindy Hop basics (swingout, circle, basic turns, etc), EASILY transition between 6 and 8 counts, have a foundation in common Charleston patterns, and -- most importantly -- be willing to work really hard in a class where you are receiving little to no instruction. If this sounds like something you can handle, you'll make a perfect Gentleman Assistant.
